The Living Planet Centre, the home of WWF-UK, a world leading environmentally sensitive building
WWF-UK’s new ultra-green administrative building in Surrey featured extensive high-quality and exposed fair-faced concrete which is visible both inside and out.
The building was designed from the start to achieve a BREEAM outstanding rating. To this end, we used recycled cement and aggregates whilst also providing a high-quality exposed concrete finish, no easy feat! Special shapes were also incorporated into the soffits through the use of bespoke GRP and plaster formers.
The extensive use of exposed concrete throughout the building and the high standard of the finished project won the team the accolade of Overall Winner from the Concrete Society Awards.
