A modern, state of the art fair faced building for the University of Kent?s Business School
This project for Willmott Dixon consists of a four-storey concrete frame incorporating some very high-quality concrete.
Large areas of exposed soffit and beams contribute to the defining features of the internal design, creating a clean modern look. The team used its extensive experience to create bespoke shutters for the lozenge-shaped columns throughout and the finger beams in the main lecture theatre, both of which had to be of the highest quality.
This project also achieved a BREEAM rating of Excellent which all supply chain partners had a part in delivering. The project won the RIBA Building of the Year award.
